22.06.15 Goodbye Malacca – Hello Penang

Vomiting after breakfast, again. Just falling beck over in bed, again. Travel day, again.Katja run the city and look at life and take pictures while I just am. I’m not doing anything, not really feeling, just lying in the bed like a zombie trapped under a car. What a life.

Malacca is a great little city and I’m sad I only got to see and explore a tiny fracture of it. It’s well worth visit if your ever on these parts.

After checkout we get a taxi to the airport. Probably one of the smallest airport we’ve been to. It’s pretty modern and nice but there’s nothing to do here. No one else is at the curb when we get dropped off. No-one else is checking in. There’s no-one else in the cafe. Nothing to do but wait.

We fly Malindo air that turns out to be nice with a modern plane. Not too much leg room, but just enough for the short one hour thirty flight.

Welcome to Penang. There’s people waiting to pick us up and we get guided out to the driver waiting. He turned out to be a very chatty fellow and had an annoying habit of saying everything three times. Go figure. We learned a few tricks, among them to abstain from swimming in the ocean. Lots of dangerous jelly fish. Thank you very much.

The room is large and with a good view. We relax a little before heading across the street to get Dinner at Magic 1 restaurant. My appetite it’s still off, but I force down a couple of chicken bits. Basically another sucky meal.

Back in the room we had a little FaceTime with birthday boy Per before watching a little tv before bed.

“Be careful about Burma. Most people cannot remember whether it was Siam and has become Thailand, or whether it is now part of Malaysia and should be called Sri Lanka.”

Humongen! The big guy! The man, the myth, the legend! And then theres' me. The nice guy in the house. The man without cooking skills, but with five stars on the Playstation. Boss at work, relaxed at home. What you see is what you get. Life is good. I choose it to be.
