Katja and Arne's travel stories

18.07.15 Saturday – last day of week 1 (Post 350)

Saturday is not a day without chores anymore. Katja goes to school six days a week. I get up together with her and we have tea on the terrace while she reads once more the homework from yesterday. She’s off and I’m on my own again.

After breakfast I go to Hubud and enjoy the fast internet connection. I download several videos from Microsoft Ignite conference. A load of videos are available for download and I find many that’s interesting. I got about ten hours of video on my computer now. Videos I can watch on the TV in the room . So I don’t have to pay as fee to Hubud for the hours.

I get lunch and contemplate going to the Acro yoga class. Decide against it, as my energy is not up for two classes. I prioritize a level two vinyasa flow with Bex instead. Holy cow, my energy is not really up for one class actually. But I’m here and I’ll give it my best. Afterwards when I’m walking back to the room I’m craving food. I get a bowl of cereal as Katja comes in and go straight to the shower.

The class have done a presentation, or several presentations, on the history of yoga. I have videos to share, but I’m not sure they’re safe for public viewing. We present a few pictures in stead.

The first of four weeks of the course is over and she is entitled to be a little tired. But there’s no rest for the wicked. The group is going out for dinner and I’m joining them. We get dressed and step out into the evening.

Suddenly there's cows in the garden outside. Lawnmowers?

We’re not the first there, but almost. Did I previously tell you Katja like to be early?

The place fill up quickly and we have a nice dinner. I booked the place on request from Steve, among other things because they have live music. Sadly the music was not all that good, and a bit too loud. The conversations were limited to the one directly beside you or across from you. Two step over and you couldn’t hear squat.

Katja has attracted a little cold the last few days and we head back to the room to get her in bed. We’ve even switched sides in bed to keep her maximum shielded from the draft from the air condition. Hopefully she’ll ride it off in a day or two.

This is the 350th post I have made on this blog. That means we’re closing in to the one year mark. Who would have believed the one year mark should appear so suddenly? We reminiscence a while in bed and talk about the things that we’ve seen and done. It’s a handful, that’s for sure

“Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed.”
