Katja and Arne's travel stories

So it’s another day. What to do, what to do?Seems like the only thing happening are a slow morning, food training and  more food. Where will this end? Katja head out extra early since there’s another one in the group that’s celebrating a birthday today. Greyson has made another turn around the sun and is celebrated with a nice breakfast by people from the group.

I on the other hand get down to the barn and take a Vinyasa flow class with Bex. Pretty sweaty and happy I walk home. Going from where I take my classes and home I pass where Katja’s group are having lunch, if the timing is right. It is, and I meet and greet a lot of them. I even get to give Greyson a (sweaty) birthday hug. As I wrote, I’m sweaty so when I meet Katja we talk for a short while before I get back to clean up. Even in the Bali heat, which is not that hot at the moment, you get cold staying in wet cotton clothing.

The cows are back and are grazing on the little field next to our hotel. A least they seem to attract every fly within miles, so there’s that to compensate for the sound of the bell on one of them.

Katja gets home a little after six while I lay on the bed watching video from Ignite. Microsoft show off a 84 inch Ultra HD display that makes me drool. That would have been something for the living room back home. We quickly walk over to the Italian across the street to have dinner. We talk about Katja’s upcoming teacher event on Saturday, which seems to be the big thing so far in the course. They still have a week left after that class, but this is a major element in their training. Everyone who’s ever taught outside his or hers mother tongue know it’s possible to miss on a word or two. Being put under pressure by someone watching you and giving you feedback afterwards rises the stress level even higher. Katja’s in good shape for a very nice presentation of her poses, so I’m not the least worried about her. How the rest of them feel,  I have no idea.

“I think everybody’s got a presentation. Everybody looks a certain way because they want to convey a certain image. You look a certain way because you want people to listen to you in a certain way.”

Humongen! The big guy! The man, the myth, the legend! And then theres' me. The nice guy in the house. The man without cooking skills, but with five stars on the Playstation. Boss at work, relaxed at home. What you see is what you get. Life is good. I choose it to be.
