Something new, something old and something blue
As we spend all of six weeks here in Ubud you are bound to get a lot of yoga info. As the days move along it’s cool to notice the small changes. I get deeper into positions, I can touch my toes or grab my feet where I had no chance earlier, and I understand more and more of the tribal language. I am able to do a Visyana or a Chataranga (I’m writing as it think it sounds 🙂 ) Continue reading
Weekend in Ubud
It’s not like it’s a big difference between weekdays and weekends for us. But we do try to separate the two, if not just for fun. Since the Acro yoga classes are on Saturday and Sundays we even sleep in on these days. We didn’t get up until 8:30 this morning. By then it’s really bright and with sounds of all the birds, grasshoppers, dogs and motorbikes. Continue reading
Tai Chi Bali – Commercial
I have earlier said we were quite happy with Dave West as an instructor of Tai Chi Chuan, here at the Yoga Barn. Dave is a full time instructor and run classes out of Tai Chi Bali. I have emailed with Dave after our training session and told him I could put some info up at the blog. So if you happen to find this site by searching for Tai Chi and Bali, know that there are several of us that like what Dave West teaches.
Friday – the start of yet another weekend

Motorbike ride in the countryside

We visited three holy sites and passed through lovely rice field landscape during the day. Read on for info and pictures.
Another day, another training session – or two
We just had lunch and talked about the essence of recovery and relaxation to benefit from training. We are not the best to make plans for this, but it’s gonna change. Continue reading
Qigong
Weeeeell – we are open minded and want to try everything. In accordance to one of our martial arts heros, Shiomitsu Sensei of the Wado Ryu Academy of England, you should taste everything at least once. If it tastes good- have some more. If it tastes bad – spit it out and move on.
A busy day
Today is Monday. What a glorious day of the week! All over the world people wake up and get ready to start another week. So do
we. We talked about the fact that traveling like we do can not mean you have Saturdays and Sundays for a year. There has got to be some more structure that that. So here is a typical Monday. 🙂
Acro yoga, what a blast!
Today we challenge ourselves and pushed some borders. We attended a class of Acro Yoga at the yoga barn. This was new, fun, scary, hard, childish, challenging and … did I mention FUN?!? Continue reading
